With a very busy quarter 2 (April, May, June/July) for operational ground transportation service providers approaching rapidly - the question arises, just how early should clientele, expanding past any specific sector, look to book their rides?

We're seeing reports already of ground transportation entities admitting they've exhausted their bookings so much so, they may not even be able to handle their corporate commitments. Crazy, we know.

"Our revenue comes from corporate accounts. We move their people around every day," Gill said. "These companies are used to calling us and getting what they need. During the World Cup, that is not going to be possible unless they plan ahead."

Interesting strategy to say the least, but it's real and its happening now.

So we say to you, its easy to advise for a minimum 2/3 week period before your actual travel date; but thats just not realistic.

Some travel is unexpected.

Some travel is unpredictable.

Corporations may call you the day of (we know from first hand experience)!

So, what do we say to those of you who are inclined to travel on short notice regardless of reasoning?

Explore your options.

Find who is willing to prioritize your business during this busy time of year. You never know how fruitful this new relationship could prove to be in the long run.

And if you're a transportation company? Carpe Diem! In case that was lost in translation, seize the moment. Offer packages you have not before. Decide on your strategy and commit to it.
